Ted Coltrain, Executive Officer of Dickinson Fleet Services, oversees the company’s Business and Field Operations including field workforce, safety & compliance, human resources, business development, IT systems, accounting and finance.
Ted’s background of 25-plus years in the fleet maintenance industry has given him extensive experience in all aspects of the business including shop operations, parts management and customer service. In his leadership role with Dickinson, Ted focuses on continuous improvement of technician productivity through the development of state of the art technology platforms. As part of this focus, he directed the development and implementation of the company’s proprietary software systems, TRAIT and WebWrench. These tools, along with Dickinson’s commitment to ongoing education and training opportunities, are designed to enhance the technicians’ ability to communicate internally and with clients more efficiently and accurately, support the highest quality repairs, and insure safety and compliance.
Ted has also directed many innovative projects for Dickinson nationwide, including the opening of new locations, the development of a 24/7 call center, and a highly successful mobile maintenance truck deployment strategy.
Ted earned his Business Administration Degree from the University of Central Florida, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami. He is a member of TMC (Technology & Maintenance Counsel), NPTC (National Private Truck Counsel) and IMTA (Indiana Motor Truck Association).
